How a small business should start with AI
Julien Côte1 min read
Most small businesses don't need an AI strategy. They need one task that takes too long, done better.
Start by listing the admin your team repeats every week: answering the same questions, copying enquiry details into a spreadsheet, chasing documents. Pick the one that costs the most hours and has the clearest rules.
Next, check your information. AI works from what you give it: your services, prices, policies and past replies. If that is scattered or out of date, fix it first.
Then build small and keep a person in charge. A first version should draft or sort, not send. Your team approves what it produces until you trust it, and you measure the time it saves.
Only when one automation is working and paying for itself is it worth adding the next. That's how we run every automation project: one task, a fixed price and a month of tuning before anything else.
